mommo

For those of you who know Mommo, the Patron Saint of Deviled Eggs and my grandma, she's not doing too hot these days. Lizzy and I came up with the wonderful idea to sell Mommo t-shirts and have the profits go toward a pedicure (one of her favorite things) and a phone card (so she can call her brothers and sisters in Oklahoma) as well as a card with pictures of everyone who owns a Mommo shirt to show her how many people love her. The rough design of the shirt is below. It'd be $15 with free shipping, so once things get more finalized let me know and I'll hook you up. I know Mommo would really appreciate it. Plus - what is funnier than a "I (mommo) Mommo" shirt?

yikes!

I'm not going to pretend I found this link on my own, I completely farked it. I felt strong enough about it that I couldn't resist posting it. You'd think in today's day and age, in all this debate about what is constitutionally right or wrong, when your state constitution CLEARLY states the opposite, something would be done about it.

Anyway: linky

nice guys finish last

Today we read results from a study that women in their fertile stage of the month strongly prefer men who are dominant, or narcissistic. I told you.

i got my fash on

Having our first few days of snow made me realize how inconvenient being cold it. You have to keep warm for outside then take it off inside. It essentially exponentializes (yeah I know I made it up but you get it) the amount of crap you have to carry around.

Backpack + man purse = 2
Backpack + man purse + coat + scarf + gloves + hat + earmuffs + coffee to stay warm = 8

See, it really IS exponentialized.

first snow

first snow, originally uploaded by David Bander.

took us long enough, but we got our first snow between 1:30a and 9:30a this morning.

whoop-ee-ding!

good: getting ten hours of work to help engineers show their 'talents'

bad: the chinese yoyo guy drops his ball every 15 seconds

worse: the same guy throws his ball and sticks into the front row, hitting some unsuspecting lady to finish out his act

worst: we don't have a video because we forgot to start recording

I don't know how to play racquetball, so we just volleyed back and forth.

Any advice on how to ACTUALLY play?

what happened to the celebrity pt. 1

What ever happened to alyssa milano? She used to be super fine. Back when she was working with tony, then when she became a teen star she was a little cutie. Now? She skanked out. Not as bad as britney or lindsay skanked out, but I think that is why it is more disappointing. Once you become mainstream it is in the contract you have to show your coochie to the internets. Alyssa? Nah she isn't THAT mainstream... she's just a big, hot letdown.

edit: linky for jr.

i am inspired

Jack Bauer has inspired me to improve my physique and learn how to shoot guns. Does anyone know what kind of jeans he wears? I want a pair.

Joel and I started running today, in addition to our 8 minute abs 4 nights a week. We did a mile in 7:29. Not bad for not running the mile since... sophomore year in HS?

Break was nice. I think I'd like more of it.

Also, if you haven't seen today's xkcd, do it.

a new dawn and props

First of all, I'm glad this finally got off the ground. There is still a lot of work to be done, so perhaps you'll see more coming and changing in the next weeks. Also, I need to thank jr for encouraging me to get a new blog and bugging me to get it done and deoff for creating the bander bubble some six and a half years ago during camps. For good measure I should thank joel, my roommate for being one of the few people that I really get along with, and brittany for... nevermind. I don't need to get sappy on post 1.

So update your bookmarks and you rss feeds (see right) and check back often.
